Glass Chalkboard

I wanted something to write on in the shop to take down quick notes that would be visible. After wayyyy to much research I decided to make a glass chalkboard with some CNCed elements just for fun. The Idea was to create something that looked heavy duty, industrial and with some cool brass components.

I CADed up a design in Fusion 360 around a free piece of tempered glass I found on Kijiji. I bought the hardware off of Mc Master-carr and 3D printed some corner pieces to hold the glass centered in the frame and hide the mounting hardware under them as well as protecting the glass.

It turned out really nice. I spray painted the wall black so that the writing would stand out more and made it so the mounting holes in the frame behind the corner pieces were the distance of the wall studs. I bought some liquid chalk markers from amazon and that was that.
